It's fine to set and have strategies to achieve your goals but what happens when distractions get in your way

How to Overcome Distractions to Achieve Your Goals

Hi guys, it’s Adrian Law here. Best selling author of ‘I Need to Change a Couple of Things’ and founder of “The Academy of Positive Change.’

Today, I want to talk about what’s it’s going to take for you to follow through and achieve your goals?

Secondly, what is it that blocks or stops you?

Let’s start with the latter here. I want to know what kind of guy or girl that you want to be?

Do you want to be the kind of person that gives up on their goals fairly easily, just because the weather is hot or cold?

Today is 43 degrees here in Sydney, Australia. It’s stifling hot and a good enough reason not to do any work, but don’t let that stop you.

bridgeSome of you I know have some unfortunate circumstances and may have a sick child or a sick partner to take care of. It takes a lot of energy and effort on your behalf, but don’t let that stop pursuing your own goals.

You can still do little things, regularly.

In fact I’m going to give you two things that really are the secret to the success that you’ll achieve in your life, if you do them.

The first one is doing things really well. That could be providing good content for example. It could be what you do well, whether it’s writing, or doing videos. Whatever it is that you do for your work ¬†or vocation.

The second thing is doing it consistently. Not once every six months or every few weeks, but doing it either daily or weekly.

What kind of person do you want to be?

Just last night I was doing a group training with a physical trainer, with weights and so forth.
Anyway, someone threw me a medicine ball and as I went to catch it, it bent my fingers right back. I heard an almighty crack and thought I may have broken a finger.

It’s black & blue and has a bit of purple as well being swollen. Today I got some x-rays and it’s OK.

It’s very sore and is effecting how I feel, but again I could easily let that stop me from pursuing my goals.

Don’t let that be you.

Step up, stand up and keep moving forward, because the average people in the world let these things effect them and then blame external circumstances for why their life hasn’t turned out the way they said they wanted it to.

Don’t let that be you. You are better than that. You would’t be watching this video if that wasn’t the case.

Step up, do whatever it takes to achieve your goals. Even if it’s just a little something. Just change a couple of things. It doesn’t have to be anything major.

Go for your life and I’ll see you soon!
